I was wondering who all is going to Spencer ? I would like the opportunity to meet some of you guys / gals.
I'm going down on Wed and will be there through Monday.

My wife, Liz, and I will be there all day on Friday. I know a few others in my area that are also going just for Sat.

I will be there Sunday, along with my dad and a few other members of my club.
I was hoping to be there Thursday or Friday, but now there is a 50% and 40% chance of rain here respectively. So now thinking Saturday or Sunday. Last week's extended forecast had it clear here for all the days.
But since only two miles away I will check the conditions each morning.

Spencer,NC about 50-miles north of Charlotte off of Interstate 85. I see SouthernMike has a link to the NCTM above. Spencer is the home of the old Southern Spencer Shops.
The same location two years ago for the NS/Heritage Event.

You just come down I-77 from Ohio to Charlotte and turn left[north] on I-85 and as Ron says about 50 miles to the Spencer/East Spencer turnoff of I-85.
I'd love to be there.....but grand daughter has a program I committed to...you all be safe, have fun.....a post some pics!!!!

Three of us guys are leaving early tomorrow morning for a twelve hour drive. We are coming from the Detroit area. We plan on attending both Thursday and Friday.
I plan to be there on Friday, hopefully before the afternoon showers hit. I only live about 40 miles from there so it is not a bad drive. I am easy to pick out of a crowd. I am 6'7" tall and have headfull of gray hair.
I should be easy to spot just hope nobody else is wearing the Southern Rwy 4501 T-Shirt and the military issued boonie hat
My son and I will be there on Saturday. Looking forward to it!

My 13 year old son Wyatt and I are hitting the road around 3:30 AM tomorrow, should be there around 10:30 AM, plan on spending the day and then driving back on Sunday. Father/son roadtrip!
