Hello,

I have a fair amount of fast track and have not bought any switches yet.

I want to know how big of a job it is to make to two work ?

Has anyone done this ?

I can see sawing up some of the Fast track ,but not the Ross switches

Later on when my real layout is built up it , will be Ross and Gargraves , but for now this is what I have.

Later the fast track will be reused in holding  tracks or out of sight

Thanks

The issue is that fastrack has a different rail profile than Ross gargraves. Fastrack rail is cheaply made by essentially being an upsidedown u. Ross/Gargraves uses more of a rail profile. I am not aware of any special pins between the two types of track and you will have to figure out a way to crimp the fastrack rail ends that butt up to the gargraves/Ross track. You may also have to shimmy up the Ross gargraves track to match the rail height of fastrack. Good thing is Ross roadbed may be able to hide the transitional area. Good luck!
