Hope everyone had a nice Christmas! Last year I was fortunate enough to go on a tour at the Age of Steam Roundhouse. I took many photos and happened upon this lovely tool rack. I was not slick enough to take measure of it with my iPhone but was able to guess at it a bit today. Using my new 3D printer, I was able to come up something reasonably close. My first pass was not so great but I salvaged the A frames and made up the rack in the first model photo. The slats are Midwest #8003 stripwood. The second print attempt was successful and the one shown in the second and third photos is fully printed. Tools and accessories are white metal parts from my detail collection. First couple photos is the one at AOS.

Norm, Really nice addition to an already exquisite roundhouse scene. Thanks for posting
A great addition to a roundhouse, backshop or engine shed. Never gave the fact that tools that big wouldn't fit in a tool box a thought.
Thanks a lot you guys! The successful print sure cut down on the tedium of gluing all those slats. I wanted to build this for quite a while now. It would have been cool to print all the small tools but the resolution just isn't good enough.
Norm, I'm sure now you are armed with a 3d printer that you'll be able to crank out fantastic details at an even more alarming rate. The tool rack looks great!
Norm, love your attention to detail. I know you have an ash hoist in the servicing area. I saw a picture somewhere and replicated a rack with some tools. In doing some more research I found a few pics on the net of one in HO that was all brass one of the importers tooled up. Got a few ideas from that as far as the tools used.
