S Scale and Marx 3/16th Equipment | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Today I got the final piece of a Marx Santa Fe A-B-A set (the plastic not tin version) and plan to run 3/16 equipment behind them. I have a Santa Fe caboose that is tin with D type trucks that is unsuitable, and what I've seen as available is the later cheapened Marx cabooses.What about using an AF caboose and giving it matching Marx 3/16 trucks, couplers etc? Does this seem to be a solution? Any ideas?

Electroliner - That's totally feasible. I've done it. The AF 3/16 caboose fits right in with the Marx 3/16 equipment. Another solution is to acquire an American Flyer 484 caboose, part of AF's tinplate 3/16 prewar line, and fit it with your Marx trucks. That way, all your cars are tinplate. Here's one I painted.

And if you have some Marx boxcar frames, you can placed K-Line boxcar body on it!
