Ok, I have read the many threads on this problem and I still can't get it right.
The cumulative knowledge from many threads was the way to get it all correct.
I am powering my switches with accessory voltage from C on a ZW-C at 14 VAC.
I configured the FasTrack remote switches using track power. Thanks to Rick O. and N.Q.D.Y.
I cut the ground trace to terminal one. I am operating in all switch mode.
Trying to use SW-1 & SW-2.
Thanks to Gunrunnerjohn and MikeCT
How do I power the SC-2?
Cut the trace and use the wall-wart. Thanks to MikeCT
If I connect only the three switch wires, the SC-2 doesn't get power.
Use only the Out, Gnd & Thru to the switch. If you use aux power, don't use the Gnd. Thanks to ADCX Rob.
When I connect a ground to the ground terminal of the Aux input of the ground terminal, the SC-2 powers on, but throws a switch when it powers on and then will only buzz switch 1.
I didn't discover why until near completion. The #2 terminal seems stuck on all ACC and won't clear or it's broken. Thanks to me, for finally trying the obvious, "Did you try another terminal?" It is a used SC-2 and I didn't thoroughly test it before putting it into use. The buzz came from incorrect power configurations for the SC-2.
With acc. hot and ground connected to power the SC-2 and using SW-2 & SW-3, it throws a switch at power on, but then will function correctly.
See above. Don't need acc.power in a command environment. Switch throw on power-up was from a bad or stuck terminal,#2.
I can't figure it out, even after reading all the posts and the nice picture link.
Well, I finally did!!! Now, I can move on to other projects on the list. The nice picture link was provided by Gunrunnerjohn for the aux gnd trace cut.
Help please!
I suppose this post was lost in all of the catalog and pre-York discussions. The help was already here from previous solutions. I just had to find them. So, a big thank you again to those mentioned above for providing useful information and thoughtful answers. If you want to play with trains, you need to be here on the OGRR Forum!
PS. I may have to write a how-to and put all of the bits and pieces in one place. The SC-2 is a versatile device, but confusing to many.
