Anyone ever seen or heard of SCALE-RITE TRACK ? Back in the early seventies I was in Washington DC and had to kill several hours so I looked up hobby shops in the area I was in. One had a stack of SCALE-RITE track on a discount table and I bought all I thought I could cram into my suitcase. It's packaging looked old at the time and I have asked people numerous times about it but I have yet to find anyone who knows or remembers it. It mixes with Gargraves well and looks just as good if not better with ties that are closer to scale sized. I built a layout back then and used up most of what I had bought but still have about twenty sections which are 20" long. I have held on to them as they are easier to make custom switches from than Gargraves. They bend to any curve just as well. The rails are held on the ties with little clips which slide along under the base of the rails in a channel formed by rolling over the edge of the rail base and then they press into the sides of the ties which can be seen in my last photo. Take a look at the photos and if you have any info or history I would like to hear more about them. j
