I am trying to remove these trucks to replace the side plates that were broken. I cant figure out how to release them. I tried the recessed screw behind the pickup roller. 6-52347. I have also tried twisting the truck as I read some twist 90 and come off. Any help is appreciated!

No one has any information on how to remove these?
Did you take the screw out indicated with the green arrow? Some of these have to have the pickups removed as they are holding the motor mounting plate on, typically you'll remote the pickup screws from the top through the slot. As a last resort, take the screws with the red arrows out. That truck splits, and then they're fun to put back together.

I have taken the green and red highlighted screws out. But not with the pickup screws out I will try that. There are 2 screws from the top with holes in the chassis for access. I haven't tried those they are located close to the motor.
I tend to loosen screws and see if things wiggle when I'm trying to take one apart. Lionel has all sorts of slightly differently designed power trucks, so without seeing it or having remembered that exact model, I don't know exactly what takes it apart. I predict with all the screws every out, you'll have a pile of axles, gears, and a couple of large castings.
Some of the side frames can be readily change out because the mounting screws are put in thru the bottom. Otherwise you are going to have to remove the shell....
