Walmart. Nano Metalfigs. They had two poses last time we were there with my niece.
I know there are some out there as I have him, batman and Green Lantern on our club layout . They may be a hair bigger than "O" but they look fine. I just do not recall where we got them. Check out stores like Walmart.

I was in my local Wal-mart and they had Superman, Batman, Spiderman and Disney characters. I almost bought Superman and Uncle Scrooge, but wasn't sure where I could use them. I would love to find a Waldo for my own Where's Waldo?

Mighty Minis are close to O and look good. They come in blind bags but can be had off ebay opened and able to select who you want.
I found a bunch of the Nano Metalfigs on line. They look perfect. I will probably order a few characters, there seems to bee a good variety out there.
Superman scales out about 6'6" tall...OK for Superman!! I have some of the 'normal' Harry Potter figures too....they look kinda like 40\s - 50's era citizens. And being 'kids' they scale out more like 5' plus tall. GREAT figures for 99 cents of so.

Check out heroclix. They have a bunch of superman figures along with Clark Kent ones. Cut off the base and they are excellent for o gauge. I have the metalfig superman from Walmart also, but I prefer the heroclix ones by a wide margin. By the way, your club has a great layout!

There are Superman figures in the HeroClix line at Comic Book stores.

Greg, I have the one Pete pictured. I think it is a good one for 1:48, and the price was hard to beat!!
Burger King put out a Superman series of toys about O size... 3 or 4 different poses including flying... check eBay.
