Here is my favorite the Lionel 3472 Milk Car.
David...the Twin Pines car is great...kind of looks like 'Milky the Clown' pushing out the cans, white outfit, white face, pointed hat and all!!! Visited and toured the facility while in grade school back in the 50's...Paul
Nice video. Love the L milk cars.
Here's some coal action! These videos are just the tip of the iceberg, I have many more on my YouTube channel. I am currently making a few more of some postwar accessories that I picked up recently.
Great videos everyone, keep 'em coming!
Another operating accessory favorite of mine is the Lionel Operating Gantry Crane.
That Gantry crane is looking good!
Here is my Lionel Oil Drum Loader. It's the modern Lionel O gauge version of the American Flyer S gauge.
Does anyone have the AF Gabe the Lamplighter, that was modified to have Gabe go directly to the top without all the pushing of the buttons. I saw this once on the forum and would like to know how this was done. Was it done with a can motor? Does anyone know how to wire this?
Here is the video,
Thanks in advance.

Excellent video!

Nice! I like how the forklift changes direction. How is that accessory activated- do you hold down a button and the activity stops when you let go of the button? Or, do you flip a switch and the activity continues until you flip the switch again?
Mouse over and click on the image triangle for a Photobucket video.

Looks like a beautiful layout
I haven't seen much log action on this thread yet. Here's one.
I also can't resist showing my gantry crane video. I had it moving before Lionel offered that option.

I have the AF if the barrels would stay on the forklift it would be great, I keep making adjustments.

Nice video. I like the narration to add some storyline. Also, the itemized list at the end is very good.
Bob, nice gantry crane videos. Do you have any crane on a train (crane car?) examples? I don't know if those can be remote controlled or not.

Garrett - The only "crane on a train" video I've got is the following. But the crane movement is faked; I moved it manually, off-camera.
Lionel lumber unloader 6-36773, Lionel's O gauge version of the American Flyer original.
We have taken this a little farther and hollowed out the barge and dump real coal into a bucket under the layout

Very nice posts, the several that you provided. What exactly is the benefit of a transfer table. Beyond what is viewable on screen, where does the locomotive go? What is the time/cost savings of a transfer table vs turntable?
Thanks
Garrett
My homemade Transfer Table
Great thread and videos! I love operating accessories.
Here is my home-made coal trestle for Lionel Traditional operating coal cars. One bin is high side for operating side dump coal cars.
Does anyone have an MTH helicopter launch car to show?
Here is a video of my post war accessories that I shot six years ago. I added sound effects to make it more interesting but the noisy Lionel vibra motor noises can still be heard!

Love me some accessories!

Does anyone have an MTH dump car? does it make the same awful buzzing that most Lionel operating accessories make?
Garrett, in my Polar Express video below there is a segment with the MTH log dump car. It is at the 9:00 minute mark. The car has a motor with a bit of a buzzing winding sound...not bad though. Nothing like the sound of Lionel classic operating accessory noise. The MTH dump cars are excellent...lots of fun. After that segment is my 787 log loader.
At 7:20 minute mark is a K-LINE operating milk car, if that interests anyone. Smooth operation and scale sized.
Keith you just reminded me about a video I made a few years ago showing K-Line's operating milk car! It really does have great smooth operation! I also just recently made a video of the milk loading depot!
Nice videos! The milk loading depot has always interested me.
