I purchased an old signal light which actually has to sets of three lights (just like a traffic light- red, yellow and green). I do not know the company that made this, but it is made out of metal.  Each light has three wires (black, red and green)

Now please bear with me as the colors of the wires and the lights can be a bit confusing.

Now, in testing out this product, I can get the red light to light up if I connect the black wire to the ground on my  transformer and the red wire to the hot terminal on my transformer. I can get the yellow (or middle light) to light up if I connect the black to the ground and the green  wire to the hot terminal on my transformer.

I do not know how to get the green light to come on.   I get the same results with the other set of lights on this device.

Now; after that is figured out, I would like to hook up this light to the Lionel #153IR controller (so that when the train approaches the red light goes on; when it passes the yellow, and then when the train clears the area, the green light goes on.

Thanks for bearing with me
