I've been thinking when I start building my new layout, it would be neat to place a bunch of small spotlights (about maybe 1" high) to hide in bushes or be placed behind a structure where it could not be seen, to highlight buildings, streets, hills, trains going by, etc., at night.

I've done a short search on the Internet for small model train spotlights with possibly a swivel head so that they can be moved for different heights, and can't find any.  I may not know exactly what words to put in a search, but I've had no luck.

Anybody out there know where to find such an animal ?

Thanks for any help,  Corvettte (Paul)

How about the Lemex and similar spotlights that are heavily discounted after the holidays in craft stores? I know these run using batter but apparently they are pretty easy to rig up to constant power.

I've also used these, http://www.modeltrainstuff.com...-Pack-p/mdp-6101.htm

Paul, I haven't seen any yet but the Lemax ones work prety good( I have several sets). They are Lemax but also appear under different brand names like Country Coventry (or what have you) They can run on batteries or by electric ac adaptor.

ehobbytools.com has the clear and blue (clear listed as out of stock, blue in stock) Clear 44243 or blue 64502.

You may also find these at K-mart, Walmart, Lowe's or any place that sells the little Christmas Villages stuff.

Just to bring everybody up to date.  I found a nice deal with Wholesale Trains.

Their 2 pack was $7.76 which was the lowest price I found on the Internet.

I just ordered a bunch of their Life-Like Products 2 pack #1628 spotlights.

They run off of AC power, swivel up and down and turn 360 degrees.  I

believe they stand about 1 1/2" tall.

This is just what I wanted.

Thanks for your input.  I probably would have taken a week to find what I

wanted if you guys hadn't helped out.

Thanks,  Corvettte (Paul)
