Snow movement

OldcatOGR Forum Member DIGITAL SUBSCRIBER

Drove over our Northfolk Southern Rail Yard yesterday and observed 100's of hoppers laden with snow. We got fifteen inches of our own snow yesterday so I know it wasn't for us. I am wondering where the carloads are headed. Who orders snow by rail? Ski resorts?

Maybe Western Ski Resorts?

If they hadn't pulled up the Milwaukee tracks over Snoqualmie Pass in Washington they could almost unload it on the ski slopes!
