I want to start working on a subway station I will install on my layout which is just under way. I want to build the station first so I can install it and then build my city above.

I am going after a NYC look late 50's  early 60's. My city is a freelance larger eastern city. I am going to run MTH Redbird car sets.

What I am looking for is photos and design ideas to capture the look I am after. Colors, details do and don'ts to make the station look correct without being held to a strict prototype.  Any good sites or even just a few photos of stations of the era would help. Many thanks!!!

I thought I read they came online in 1959......the name did come later I know.....but for a 'look' of a freelance system I think it will work. Plus....I got them real cheap! Thanks for the help.
