Looking good! How big are those ties?

Looks great to me. More detail then I use. I may begin to use some of that in foreground turnouts. Very impressive.

Thank you...I am guessing thickness and width? They are approx 2/16 in thickness and 3/16 in width and all sorts of length's... Code .148 steel rail.

Thanks Dan. I am going to be placing these very close to edge and for viewing purposes is why I added the details.....the $$$ add up but it looks great.

That's beautiful. Love the additional detail parts you used in making the turnout. Where'd you get the parts? That definitely validates the phrase "track is also a model."

Thanks alot Matt. All the castings,frog,guard rails and point's came from Lou at Right O Way. These are going to be placed close to edge of the layout so I wanted to add the extra's.

Nice work Chris. What roadbed did you use?

That's definitely a high speed turnout Chris. Do you have a particular need for such a loooong turnout in your track plan? Lou Cross is marketing nice components especially for foreground usage as you mentioned, and your doing a nice job with them too.

Ah but Still cheaper than an Atlas turnout! And MUCH better looking!

Hi Joe, yes I ordered them from Lou directly.

Ralph4014 the roadbed is Flexxbed.

Thanks Flanger, yes I have 3 #10's going in and the rest are going to be #8's. Yes there will be a space in the front where they are going. I was very pleased when I opened up the box from Lou and looked over these parts, I had to massage them a small amount to fit properly but that is normal and very easy to do...his parts are top notch.

When something looks that good and will be out front for all to see over and over and over again and again, the cost is immaterial. ( I can say that cause I didn't pay for it, but you'll be glad you did what you did every time you look at that beauty! )

Hi Matt,
Thank you. The throw bars and gauge plates come in 2 pieces. They each were insolated with a heavy paper and good ole super glue, when it was set up I took a file to the excess until all was flush, I isolated the frog the same way. Works like a charm. I have not decided on throws yet.

Thank you very much. That was my thought exactly, it will be up front for easy viewing so the expense of the extra details is worth it to me. I think for the #10's they come out to approx $50-$55 each. The ones that will be towards the back of the layout will not be as detailed.
