Even though I run the more modern trains I still love the PW I still have.
my NYC ABA F3's. I have had this set since the 1950's and they still run like new. Notice also the F units couple closer together then most of the F units today.

I think the emotional attachment is half the fun. I pull out my Dad's 623 switcher from time to time for the same reason...
There's nothing like the growl of a postwar F3. It's right up there with a Harley Davidson or an old 2-stroke outboard IMO.
Anyone notice those "growlers" are also running on Super"O" track to boot? Looks good.

I'm with you, Dave. I get a big kick out of running my PW trains on my new layout. If it was fun to run 'em so fast they derailed when I was a kid, it's even more fun now that I have broad curves and long straightaways.

At this time no but York is coming up, also looking for a C&O caboose.

No need for sound in these puppy's, the growling lets everybody know they are coming.
