I want to add an amp meter to each of my DCS channels, and my 3 accessory transformers to monitor my load.

I need a 20-25 VAC meter for 0-15 amps. the best I can find at my local electronic superstore is 0-30 amps, which is not ideal as my actual load will generally be between 5-10 amps. I would prefer to use more of the meter range, so I can read the load better.

I have seen amp meters on Forum members layouts. I would like to know a good source, as I will need at least 7 of them to monitor my transformer loads. It looks like mail order over the internet will be required.

thanks for any ideas. Based on previous posts, the cost should be around $12-$15 each.

thanks: Joe K

Most of these meters are digital readouts. When I read the specs, I cannot figure out which one will work for 18VAC. (most look like they are designed for DC input)

Is a digital readout, or analogue meter recommended?

A specific type recommendation would help me, as I would rather not guess.

The Light Object Meters I described are analog, not digital.

The meters shown below are old DER 670 units[about $6 Japan] but the Light Object Meters are fully comparable. The Meter on the top row far right is a VDC unit monitoring 12VDC Tortoise Motor circuits. Bottom row are amp meters.

Note the fuzzy photo shows the two VAC Meter' needles on 18 volts
