I'm rapidly becoming a fan of wooden billboard reefers from the 1920's and 30's.
I have the book :
however the majority of the pictures are in black and white as color photography wasn't available when most of the cars were constructed.
I'd like to find a source that might provide either real photos of the colorful graphics these cars had painted on them or at least a way to determine what the actual colors used on the graphics might have been.
I have found a book that shows color photos of steel refrigerator cars from the 1940's to 1960's but that time frame is too late for my interest.
Can anyone help out with this search?
Thanks,
Mark
