Southern Pacific Bayshore Roundhouse and Yard Then and Now

Here are a couple of pics of the SP Bayshore Roundhouse and Yard. It is about a 5-minute walk from my house. Bayshore was a fairly big classification yard with shops and a roundhouse. The roundhouse closed in 1982. In 2000 there was a fire that burned half of the roundhouse roof off. The yard closed in 1986 and all of the track was torn up in the early 2000's. All that remains of this great facility is the damaged roundhouse, the tender shop and a lot of empty land. Matt
