Hello,

After several years of failed plans, this looks like the year that I get the family to Ohio to ride behind 765.  Couple of questions though, is the open air car the only place to actually see and hear the locomotive while onboard?  I think the family will prefer coach but I was hoping for an open dutch door to see and hear the locomotive during the trip.  Are the seats in the open air car any better for comfort than those in coach?  (btw budget won't allow for first class).

Is there a 765 merchandise store somewhere onboard the train or at the station.  My son wears my 765 shirt from 25 years ago and its probably time for a new one!

thanks,

Matt

I rode behind 765 last year in Illinois/Wisconsin.  They had one car (not sure if it's on every trip) set up to sell snacks, drinks and merchandise.   I also thought I read the promo material to say that passengers would be able to disembark mid-trip for photo run-by, but I'm sure that's only weather permitting.  Hope you enjoy your ride.

Chuck
