According to the Strasburg RR, it will be returned to it's Strasburg paint job after this weekend is over. It was done this way for a photo charter that I believe takes place on Tuesday. Personally, I think the whitewalls and smokebox are pretty dang sharp looking and personally hope they have a change of heart and leave it that way!

They left the 475 in N&W paint after a photo charter.  I agree I hope they do the same with #90

Oh boy...my favorite steam loco, and back in her original livery!!  Needless to say,

I sure hope they leave it that way.  Of course, when somebody finally models the

danged thing in three rail, in my life time?, they probably should do it both ways, GW and Strasburg...my order is in for the GW colors.  (I am glad Third Rail is doing the N&W 4-8-0..different is good, and one of those I've seen on the Strasburg)

We should all rejoice that the Strasburg is saving both of these pieces of history.

I'm proud to say I'm partially responsible for #90's current/temporary appearance. Pete Lerro, Mitch Goldman and myself spent a few days painting and cleaning, and making sure she looked just right. As of now, there are still several finishing touches that need to take place before the charter on Tuesday, but she is essentially replicating her late 1950s GW look (minus the extended smokebox).

Those whitewalls took up most of my time. MAN those are tricky... but still worth it. Glad you guys enjoy it.
