Here's a couple of pictures of engines I repainted for my layout.

I put the likelihood of us getting these in O scale at about 0% but they do look crazy enough to have some appeal.

 

These just scream 1950's design. Depending on the roadname, I'd definitely buy one if they made them. I might even go for  GM Demonstrator model.

Here is a nice one. looks like a PRR caboose on the rear.

At least some LV Northeastern style cabooses were built with round windows on the ends. I will post another picture if I can find one.
