MOL-DOK is a mid-size intermodal bulk commodity transfer facility in Leetsdale, PA, squeezed between Norfolk Southern's Fort Wayne Line and the Ohio River. Using a Plymouth critter and an ex-Reading SW900, the facility mostly handles coal transloading from rail to barge. I first became aware of this operation thanks to the videos of Ron (NS 5350) who lives near the facility. One day in early June, he gave a heads up to Mason (Western PA Railz) that the crew was operating, and the two of us scooted over from Glenwood. We split our time between MOL-DOK and the NS mainline, but you will see the crew pull a cut of cars from the tail tracks at the wharf to the interchange, crossing over two diamonds on the way, and moving a cut from storage to the wharf.
