The local work train is heading out to repair tracks and a small bridge damaged by flood waters.

They are brass.  I have another two in DLW paint; one in steam era lettering and and one later.  I admit I spent a few bucks on them, but I couldn't pass them up.  And now that Weaver is history, I'm not sorry.  Along with my three Third Rail Dunmore cabs in various schemes, I can't imagine ever needing another caboose. Living the dream!

The Blue Comet and the Nellie Bly meet at Suburban Station Terryville on their return trips from Atlantic City to their respective destinations, Communipaw in Jersey City and Pennsylvania Station, NYC.

The real deal being restored at the Whippany Railroad museum.

Here's a beautifully restored Erie caboose at the old station in Mahwah, NJ. It's literally a stones throw from my house.
