Big eyes(your visual tastes), ideals(how it should be according to you), re: the things we covet.

I am opinionated(I have definite opinions) and I know what I like and don't like; perfection orientated to a degree, maybe.

Sometimes, I'm blown away, okay with it, or it's just not my version of right - i.e., a scale wheels MTH Premier 3.0 CNW C44 9W(a Dash 9). A little while ago, I bemoaned the attributes of my new CNW 9; this wasn't to my liking and that...

Then, after some time had passed, "the adjustment phase", the 9 starts to become one of my favorites; I begin to see the good things... way more than the bad.

Remarkable, that human trait!

Rick, good for you. I was like that all the time but decided how far is far. How much detail do we need. After all most of us put up with those GIANT couplers. I don't have a engine that I couldn't find something wrong with if I tried. From a couple of feet away, who can see what's wrong. I just bought my first Williams engine a few weeks ago. I would bet money at one time that I never would touch Williams. I liked the square windows of there Milwaukee E-7 so I bought one and I like it. I now have all the engines to make a photograph of this poster. I'm a happy camper. Again, good for you. It's not easy looking into your self. Don

One thing that affects my appreciation for a model is it's running characteristics. I look for smooth tracking down around 3 smph. I lose interest in all show and no go problem child performers.

I don't adjust to that.

Thanks for the input, lads.

BTW, Don, I actually don't mind looking into myself; and, if I feel there's room for improvement... I try to improve.
