Got it
Hello everyone,
Well it's another snowy day, and we were able to epoxy the layout room floor.
We used one part epoxy and add speckle flakes to it. Hard to see in the photo's, but
it came out great. Either tomorrow or Monday the bench work will be started.
Thanks for looking
Alex
SOME AREA'S LOOK LIGHTER THAN OTHERS BECAUSE THERE NOT DRY YET
Looks good Alex
Well done!
That really looks great Alex.

The 'clean slate' will certainly be fun to work with!
Wow, I'm just starting my first layout and you are on your second! You are brave to tear down the nice layout you had and all that work. The floor looks fantastic now. What a difference. Keep the pics coming. They inspire.
What an improvement, Alex. It lightens up the whole room.
Nice job!
Peter
A blank canvas Alex, looks great. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
Alex, more room for all your friends who love to visit you.
Looking great!
Hey Alex,
Is that the same stuff that you put on garage floors? My brother in law had some sort of rubberized solution put on his garage floor. Speckled and all. Looks good. I saw something like that at Lowes today.
Just wondering if it was similar.
Kevin
Rich,
Keep the BDRR, I have all of the DVD 's / Blu-Ray. Great job. That layout needs to be preserved so before you do anything, let's talk.
We have spoken a few times and I have used some of your ideas on my planning.

Alex that looks great big improvement!
Boy, what a difference in the room Alex, it's so much brighter. I'm having trouble finding the time for my Army base modification let along starting a huge new layout like you are planning. Look forward to progress reports.

Really lightens up the room. Beautiful job. Looks like you will have trains running by August.
Floor looks good Alex. I like it.
Alex,
That looks great; it will serve well for your train room.
Q: Picture 3 of 8 shows a patch of grey; was that the finish on the floor before?
Keep the pictures coming!
Alex
Looking good Alex!
Nice. Very nice progress. Keep us posted, as you have been.
Looks like a new floor, well done.
Hello everyone,
Well it's time for another update, we are moving along quite fast. We were able to complete all the frame work and some of the plywood, all the lumber you see in the pictures is the old lumber from my last layout. We were going to purchase all new lumber BUT when we saw the prices on new lumber we said forget it. Especially that the old lumber was in pretty good shape.
Thanks for looking,
Alex
NOTE: All plywood will be rounded or curved on the ends, also table legs are not permanent
OPENING LEFT FOR ROUNDHOUSE AND TURNTABLE AREA, I WILL FRAME IT IN WHEN READY
You guys certainly are quick Alex - You'll be up and running in no time!
Alex- like your use of forgotten space for storage of layout tools and paint.
Seems mine are always full of empty boxes.
Great progress, Alex; and, thanks for the photos showing your progress.
Passenger Train Collector has his Christmas layout well along; Paul2 is posting on his progress; as is Lancer and others. Best threads on the forum are the layout building threads IMO. Well, those and gunrunnerjohn's LED's threads/posts.
Wow you work fast! Looks great!
No grass growing under your feet. Nice progress. Please keep on posting photos.
Wow Alex looks great, its really coming together fast!
Moving right along there buddy.
Thanks for the update.
Alex, the floor looks awesome! You sure are hustling. Can't wait to see what's next.
Hi Alex, really like the blue background! The "Rehab Addict" on TV would be happy to learn that you were able to reuse your old lumber.
Live long and prosper....
