Thanks for getting my small boxcar order out today too!!! 

 

I honestly don't know how you guys are keeping the pace you've been keeping.  I realize you don't operate everyday like this, but I can't recall a Christmas season where SO MANY BIG-TICKET items -- the "mother lode" as I've called it -- have hit all at once.

 

In years past, folks would be ecstatic just to see this stuff arrive at all.  But nowadays, we can feel it in the air that folks are anxiously anticipating the arrival of these items in unprecedented fashion.  If folks could have the manufacturers put a GPS tag on these goodies at the factory, they'd do it so they could track their package's EXACT whereabouts for the whole trip.    Guess it just proves we're all kids at heart. 

 

Really though, I can only imagine the pressure it's putting on dealers to turn this stuff around in an almost super-human time-frame.  And when folks don't get their UPS email notice, they're quick to ask where is it?  More pressure!!! 

 

Hopefully you'll be able to take a breather in the next few weeks before another wave of stuff hits the States.  Let's see... what'll it be next?  The N&W Pocahontas passenger set with #611J?    That's my bet.  But realistically, after the features of the Big Boy have raised the bar, I'm afraid a #611J  sans whistle-steam may be somewhat anti-climactic to most enthusiasts today.

Though I didn't order a cab forward from Pat, he helped me with difficult to find MTH PRR box cars, that he was able to obtain for me.
