Sorry Alan, no interest in anything after the late 70's.
I think what they did with the Southern Pacific king of steam cab forward is terrible. It's like painting a GG1 in Western Pacific colors. Don

One of the Hudson's for me.
My grandson will most likely get the Dinosaur starter set.
Hey what kid doesn't like dinosaur's ? This might be a good seller
as most kids may be all Thomas-ed out.....
(2) Heavy Mikes
(2) Berks
(1) Big Boy
(1) C&O H7
Thanks for all the time and help Pat!
You have earned a loyal & permanent customer.
Have to spend more time with it to decide but every time I go to the Lionel LCCA event I am magically enthralled with the S gauge stuff. With the Polar Express RTR set in S I will have to be adding one of those when it becomes available.
Definitely some Polar Express items.
If I lose a grip on reality, I'd order a NPR Berk and SP Cab Forward. Hopefully, that won't happen because they're not my roadnames. Discipline.
Lionel Lines Tractor/Trailer, Milwaukee Road Tractor/Trailer, Passenger Walkover, MOW Railroad Speeder and possibly a Canadian National ES44AC.
Don,
Now Lee Willis won't have to paint it.
S.S. your right. Don
Nothing - I am a early diesel guy -- looks to be a steam year.
I just posted a question on the 3 rail scale site asking about the listed length on the Heavy Mikado. Lionel lists it as 30" which seems too long when compared to the H-7 and Y-3. Any input?
Gotta be a typo.
A Mikado with those tenders should be about 24-25"
i WANT the Big Boy, but i can't run it, so i won't order it. not interested in anything else.
why are the UP E8's not in the catalog?
I like that SD40-2 in N&W livery.
Paul
I was asking about the pere marquette Berk and what do you know. I getting one for sure 1225. Detroit Tiger's car. Maybe a 86' GTW car.
What will I be ordering from the Lionel 2014 catalog? NOTHING.
I think I will get a 2 car set of the ATSF 86' Hi-Cube Boxcars. It appears to be half the price of a single one! Probably a typo...
Big boy is ordered, 89' cars PFE cars, UP caboose yellow, Southern Horrific boxcar and Caboose. GP9 B&O
On the fence. PRR Centipede, Jersey Central F3 ABA,
Waiting for Vision line on the 765 Berk, PRR turbine, SP cab forward AC12(NO DAYLIGHT !)
All the Halloween cars in all the catalogs. And some more scale cars, and sound cars.
Ya killin me Lion!!!
All of the 86' boxcars that I can afford to have the hobby shop order.
Andrew
The Auto Carriers are on 89' Flat Cars, so I hope that is what John means.
Andrew
I was fully prepared to say "nothing". But if that had been the case, I simply would not have posted.
--Two, maybe four of the 86' boxcars. (I can think of a truly eeeevil thing to do with them )
--The CP open 027 autorack in the RTR catalog. (that train is 33 cars long, and has room to grow)
My motive power roster is mature (topped with one of the competition's BB), so no new additions on that front.
---PCJ
Finally someone is making plain old 8000 tank cars like I saw long strings of as a kid. don
More ES44's for me. FINALLY Ferromex!!!!
Because I enjoy Halloween, I'll possibly order that caboose or perhaps the trolley. Otherwise, nothing in it I can't live without. Many locomotives and cars are way too big for my little layout and/or too expensive.
Lot's of choices in this catalog. Have to looks things over and narrow it down.
No engines, not even a Big Boy. All the big freight cars! 86' boxes, more auto racks.
Probably nothing. Matt
Will I be kicked out of this great site if I order an AC12 in SP daylight?????
auto parts cars for me
Will I be kicked out of this great site if I order an AC12 in SP daylight?????
As Allan Miller says "It's your railroad."
The SP O-27 flat with the two orange and red trailers on them.
AC-12 FOR SURE!
And the VL Big Boy with all 6 Freight Cars as well!
Too much, yet not nearly enough.
Great catalog. Really thought for sure there would be several 18" station sound cars to get caught up for all the sets that are missing them. Can't figure out why they are making them for the 15" cars & not the 18" cars. Any thoughts? Oh, well, ordered the BB & will be ordering the Cab Forward & maybe the M1A along with the PFE Vision Line Reefers

I think she looks gorgeous. It isn't overly dramatic. I think I wouldn't have ordered it if it was entirely in Daylight colors. Even the tender isn't all orange and red. I like it. Turned the page and saw her and immediately fell in love. Will compliment my 2005 JLC AC-12 nicely. Can't wait to double head Cab Forwards! Hmm...I wonder if Lionel will do a weathered version in the next catalog.....
I'm going for the Pennsy N5b for sure and maybe for a P&WV mikado. I want to check the mike against the P&WV book just to make sure that it all adds up first. There is not much stuff out there for the P&WV!

As Allan Miller says "It's your railroad."
LOL....that is what makes this hobby great, it is OUR little world..
I may order the SP daylight AC12 and a black one too...I will have to sell my soul now..
As with the above comment, "it is our little world," I just ordered thru Charlie a set of ERIE E-8's to pull all of my alien, area 51 rolling stock. The ERIE two tone green is a perfect fit.
No engines, not even a Big Boy. All the big freight cars! 86' boxes, more auto racks.
I had to smile when I read that one of the listed features of the 86' boxcars is 'Non-opening side doors'
Lots of cool steam engines, but I will not be buying anything from the new catalog.Maybe the flatcar with the Milwaukee Road trailers, but I just saw a post that the trailers don't sit level behind the included truck,so I may pass on that too unless I find out if that problem can be fixed.
