What a catalog, already have the Big Boy on order going to be adding the Cab Forward.
Already put in for both 3 packs of the PFE refers and a couple UP boxcars. Thinking about the TMCC Pickup trucks.

My only "whining" is not being able to buy EVERYTHING I would Like. My primary/only purchase will likely be the NYC "heavy mike".
Having said that, if money was no object I could easily add an M1a and a pair of the alcos. I sure if I went through it again, I could add to the list.

Ok, here's my "no whiners" version of my other post...
I'm ordering a bunch of 86' Auto Parts Boxcars!! (YES!!) Grand Trunk Western, Conrail, Norfolk Southern, and SantaFe.
I'm also super excited that Lionel is including an adapter bracket that modifies the draft gear for easy installation of Kadee scale couplers! (I'm a 3RS guy) It would be great if these "adapters" would also work with the 89' Auto Racks. I wonder if Lionel would sell them as individual items?
My only complaint is... oh yeah... never mind

From what I can tell, between the Vi$ion Line and RTR catalog$ there'$ $omething for ju$t about everyone. There are $everal item$ including the N&W Y3 that got my intere$t. The only thing $tanding in my way i$ money.

I don't see a problem whining as long as you have the crackers and cheese to go with it. Right now those 86" HighCube Boxcars are a must have to add with my autoracks!
my wish list item is NKP 765 and then I'll have a watch and see attitude with the Southern passenger cars to see if Lionel will drop the dome car for another coach. If that happened then they would be moved to the top of the must buy now list!
I will likely get a PRR N5b cabin....although the Archive UP F3 set might eventually twist my arm. Rest of it is NoGo !

The NYC Mikado would be the only steam item for me, but I need to look into what the actual ones looked like. Could be another instance of slapping the NYC name on a generic locomotive...
Now the Penn Central E8's are a must. Really, really hoping they don't get cancelled like the 3rd Rail ones.

Since the least expensive new steamer is the Heavy Mikado, I think I could get one of those, mostly to make a custom NKP 587. They look great already.
Though I'm with a lot of guys saying: so many items, so little money.
I will order the Big Boy if the cooling coil piping is customer removable. Otherwise I'll order the cab forward.

Is there a photo of Lionel's Heavy Mikado, perhaps the New York Central version?
When searching for images of the prototype. There are alot of different variations of NYC "heavy mikes" I would be curious to know just how accurate Lionels new one is. Having said that, Lionel illustrations have never guaranteed the appearance/ accuracy the end product. The mention of "new boiler tooling" in the product description is promising that it is an attempt at a different "mike' than those that have already been oferred time and again.

Big order for me: 6-37066 MoW Speeder. I'm a sucker for flashing strobe lights. 
I think that they did a great job on the catalog - The AT&SF 5 pack, the command control tie-jector car, and the 765 NPR Berkshire are what I am after.
It all depends on what's in the MTH catalog next month. But having said that, I do like a couple of the ES44Acs (Ferromex anyone?!) and the Texas Special E-8 is certainly a possibility.

Thanks Rick for the photo. I am interested in a Southern Ms-4 and wanted to have a look at the general appearance of the issues so far. IMHO Southern's best looking version had an Elesco Feedwater Heater atop the smokebox.
I'm ordering a BNSF SD70MAC and a probably most of the BNSF cars that are available.
Probably nothing unless I can sell some of the stuff that I have now. I am out of space to store more trains. The layout only has so much track.

To start I have ordered 2 packs of the vision reefers, CP gp 35, UP Es44ac, some auto carriers, and a caboose. I have not even really looked yet. This could turn into trouble for me.
Just did a quick scan of the RTR catalog and really liked lots of things. At this time, the Amtrak diesel, the Halloween boxcar, and a Washington Nationals boxcar would make the top of my list for items desired that fit in my shrinking train allowance fund.

Rick, P&LE purchased USRA heavy Mikados. Lionel's should be pretty close to an H9b which were numbered 9505-9509. I have not been able to find a pic of the prototype so maybe a few details are like bell and headlight location/type might be off.

I was actually really surprised on how good the catalog really was. The New York Mets Box Car, and Amtrak RTR Passenger Set definitely caught my eye. I also like the Albert Hall Passenger set but I have a lot of MTH to order first. 
I really want the C&O E8s.
I think I can get the wife to buy-off if I can sell my MTH ABA E8s Pere Marquette/C&O PS1 set (20-2205-1) that I upgraded to PS2 (two upgrades to now have 2 individual E8 As).
