Wow is right! That's like a boxcar on steroids.
That is pretty HUGE! Minimum O-54 curves.... I'm sure the overhang would be incredible.
On the wrong layout (which is what most of us here would have for rolling stock like this), they're destined to be display-shelf queens.
Except those of us with smaller layouts aren't going to have the miles of shelving necessary to display these leviathans.
These strike me as just a little bit silly, but maybe I'll get one and use it for a storage container in the garage.
Seeing it here in all its glory, I ordered one even though I can't run it. It sure will look great on display, though!
WOW!!! They didn't look that big in the catalog...
Wow indeed. Looks like its been photoshopped.
I am glad Lionel had the guts to make them, with such an oddity there is a risk of how well they will sell, plus the cost of new tooling.
I am always glad to see something new and exciting in O Gauge trains.
I won't be buying them, I like the 40 footers, and already have quite a collection.
Somewhere, sometime I hope to see a huge consist of these monsters on someone's pike.
Yeah...WOW! Does that thing come with it's own zip code?...
Somebody with a large number of highly detailed O Scale people figures will have to put them in front of the 86' boxcar for a size comparison photo.

All we need is just one for the shelf... and surely we all can find space for that!
These cars are destined to become "Product of the Year that nobody can really use but everybody wants just one to say they have it". And that will make Lionel and their dealers quite happy.
I guess collecting isn't dead after all.
