PaPa (me) was successful getting grandkids to the Henry Ford. I’m officially in the bonus.

You are a very useful person.
Took the kids to see Thomas at Strasburg some years ago. Our observation was the children were all very excited, while the adults were very poorly behaved. We have avoided Thomas weekend ever since.
I hope your experience was great!

Uh, how were the adults "poorly behaved"?

You name it, driving aggressively, yelling at their kids, yelling at the staff, yelling at fellow patrons; a few of them from the time they pull into the parking until they leave.
Ron, If possible, come again during a weekday. It's very sane compared to the Saturdays.
Kelly nailed it... Pushing, shoving, inconsiderate, like they are the only ones there that matter. No manners whatsoever. Guess how those kids are going to grow up?
Thanks for the offer Kelly. We love the Strasburg RR and will ride the train half a dozen times or more this year. My children are teens now and we prefer the full ride behind #89, #90 (My favorite) or #475 vs. the shortened Thomas ride. We still love the narration too... "We pay that ghost $29.50 to blow that whistle..." It never gets old.
A couple of years back we drove down to ride the train not knowing it was a Thomas weekend. As we were approaching and saw the engine, we all agreed we would just chase the train to Paradise and back and enjoy the rest of what Lancaster has to offer.

That is why Thomas is blue. Is is depressed because of the selfish actions of those who are around him.
