I recently purchased two of Lionel’s RS-11 and while they run fine when separate, I’m having issues when they are lashed up.
I run tmcc and dcs and initially couldn’t add them using dcs. It was suggested to disconnect TMCC from DCS and use the Cab1 to add them, which I did successfully.
As an aside, I found it unusual to have to disconnect DCS as I added a number of Atlas and Lionel engines with the DCS remote and yet, couldn’t do so with this pair of engines?
As to the lash-up issues, when running them long hood forward as a lash up, the headlights do not turn on. Yet when in reverse or short hood forward, both sets of headlights turn on?
When the engines are separated and run independently, the headlights operate correctly when the direction is changed.
Sorry for long winded post but would anyone have a suggestion as to how to correct this?
