All my engines are MTH PS2/3...but I recently bought a Atlas switcher with TMCC.

A friend of mine lent me a TMCC command base and cable (the one with the black box in the cord),I wired everything

according to the manual but I cannot get the switcher to load.

Is there anyway to figure out what the engine id is ? I know there is a TMCC signal going to the track

because the engine wont run in conventional....any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

BT

You don't need to know the engine's TMCC ID#. Just enter it as any old ID# and use the DCS Remote to change it to whatever you want it to be:

Menu/System/Engine Setup/Edit Engine/Edit Engine Address, select the TMCC Engine and follow the prompts.

You may have to first ensure that the engine is in the Active Engine List by pressing ENG, scrolling to the engine and pressing the thumbwheel.

This and a whole lot more is all in MTH’s “The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition", available for purchase as an eBook or a printed book at MTH's web store!

You need to add  a TMCC engine to the dcs remote giving it a name and hitting the "D" for done. Now a list of TMCC IDs shows up, If you know what it is use it. If you don't know make one up. Now you have a TMCC  engine added to the dcs remote (you'll find it in the inactive list)  to work with  that you can edit the address . Follow the on screen instructions.... Place run / program switch to program  etc... If you're successful you should hear a  whistle blast indicating the new TMCC ID took.
