I took some pictures of my dad’s hometown Swoyersville, PA.  It’s not an exact replica, but based on stories my dad told me, and a few in person visits I have made there. I don’t think the real  Swoyersville had a depot, but mine does, for example. This section of my layout (4x50) is 12 feet long.3CCB011E-484B-486D-A9DC-6F93588AECB8We begin our tour down Rt 11, as we pass the Valley Coal Co, a steady customer for hoppers of coal.E876EB32-F97E-4C56-8148-25742EE85FBFAs we approach Swoyersville, we stop at the Victory Pig for a bite. Here we say hi to my Uncle John, Uncle Joe, and my dad (wearing his SHS varsity jacket). They are debating whose car is faster, my dad’s Hudson, or Uncle Joes Ford.2DFBAF11-42F7-4230-9276-986DDC8B802CThings are slow at the Swoyersville depot right now. I will post 3 more pictures tomorrow. JohnA
