Will fast track mate with tubular track using transition pieces if the tubular track is mounted on cork roadbed?

I would think if the fasTrack is also mounted on the same thickness cork roadbed you should be fine....
Thank you. That makes sense and I should have thought of that!
Are any of you Gentlemen or Ladies using more than one type of track on your layout?
Looks like I’ll be using Gargraves for a Lionel magnetic crane to mate with tubular O . I plan on O tubular to a Gargraves switch then Gargraves to Lionel accessories. The reason is there is a piece of Gargraves track specifically for the crane that I plan to use. I’m worried about how it will look/work. Any thoughts appreciated

Fastrack is 5/8" high to top of rail. I don't have any tubular, but I doubt it is that high. What is the tubular height with the cork?
Fastrack and tubular match up the same height. My layout is a combination of both. I used the Menards transition track and it is the same length as a track pc so you don't have to buy an additional 1/2 piece to fill in. And it is about half the cost as the fastrack transition pc maybe more if you factor in that it is only 5" long requiring the additional 1/2 pc.. I used the tubular to save money and have no problems with it. Actually when the trains move onto the tubular areas I first thought they were slowing down because the sound of the train moving over the tracks was cut down by almost 1/2.

That's the "beauty" of Fastrack, noisiest track on the planet!
Not sure if responses were directed to me but my height is .83 or so, this includes foam roadbed.
Im not worried about the height difference more how it will look having two types of track and if 042 Gargraves switches are problematic.
Dans two types of track look ok so maybe Im worried for nothing.
gunrunnerjohn, you are certainly right about Fastrack, it definitely is the noisiest track on the planet. Putting 1/2 inch thick soft foam under it helps but it's still noisy, my section of Realtrax O31 for an inner 180°curve is much less noise than Fastrack. It must be the combination of the hollow rails and plastic roadbed on Fastrack why it sounds like we're in a real life size railyard!😳
"Track mating" will simply produce more track.
And here I thought this thread was gonna be about how N gauge track was born.......
Train Steve,
I was looking for a photo on my layout where I used a Menards transition pc attached to a fastrack switch and it mates perfectly. I know you are talking about Gargraves but would think it will match up just fine. I'll post a pic of the fastrack to tubular shortly.

Attached are pics of the FT mating to tubular. My bad regarding the tubular to the switch apparently I did buy the FT transition pc for this one, guess I didn't want to cut the tubular transition pc but still FT to tubular. But see the other examples of FT to tubular using the Menards pc.Sorry about the photos, since a recent IPhone update the photos for some reason are smaller and I can't edit the size on my pc.
