I admit that I haven't researched this and thought it might be best to just ask the question.
Have any forum members constructed model railroads with names, etc. from sources such as Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged".
Railoads in the book were Taggart Transcontinental and The John Galt Line to mention a couple.

I always thought a layout dedicated to the fictional version of the Oregon, Pacific and Eastern Railway instead of the real road the RR was filmed at, which would run to most of Oregon, west of the Cascades.
Who wouldn't want to model 'Shack's train,' right? Emperor of the North is, to me, the "Citizen Kane" of train movies.
How about EASTERN & PORTLAND RR...from the movie "It happened to Jane".....

While I'm limited to the temporary carpet central at the moment, I have plans to theme about half of my layout under Taggert/JGL. The other half I plan to model after Greenfield Village in Dearborn, MI. Planning to place the Taggert bridge half way across a drop panel, which, if I can figure it out, would make a neat effect, I think.

I started a Batman/Gotham HO scale layout but switched to O before I got much done.....my son was big into Batman comic books at the time.
Tyco made it possible in 1968 for two TV shows: Petticoat Junction's C&FW and Iron Horse's Buffalo Pass, Scalplock and Defiance RR.
