The LHS's have closed, partially or largely due to the internet, but where is the source for parts on the net?  Most TCA

meets and a lot of open shows have one or more guys set up with racks on tables like the old dime stores, with little

squares of parts.  I just ordered a Marx part off a good posted list on the net (not found in a show).  Who/where? has

a site with a long list of all the Lionel/(others?) parts that can be ordered with pictures and descriptions, as some of

the show dealers seem to offer (and as seen at a show, which is not going on, or the guy isn't there, when you need a

part)?  Sadly, as discussed on here some time ago, the Lionel replacement archbar truck (I think for Civil War cars) is

no longer available...I shoulda stocked up.  But for something else....?

There are quite a few parts suppliers on line. I'm sorry to say that I know of none that fulfill your other requirement.

If this is what you are wanting. Your best bet would be to purchase reproduction Lionel Service Manuals. These contain drawings with brief descriptions and part numbers. Then you can place your order with your favorite supplier. Better dig deep, these manuals are not cheap.
