I bet if you use the "search" feature, you'll find a whole lot of suggestions...

I bought a completely reconditioned ZW on the bay for around $300. It works great. The guy that did that provided excellent follow up service to my sometimes stupid questions. If you want his contact info, send me an email (in my profile).

The real killer is shipping costs, so I'd check first with any local hobby shops. They usually have a tech of sorts in their Rolodex to handle transformer repairs and reconditioning, who might be close enough to you to drop off/pick up in person and save the shipping. Good luck!
You can save on shipping if you suggest Pirate Ship to the vendor. Forum member Mark Spadaro was the first to recommend it to me. Very nice savings on UPS, etc.

CJP it might help if mention where you are located as there are many qualified people to help you out but keeping it local saves money.

There is typically an assortment at train shows.
I use the www.tranz4mr.com dude !
Reach out to the Railroad Museum of Long Island in Riverhead. They are open on the weekends through the summer. They used to do repairs on post war.
