I’m thinking I might build a Faraday Cage.   I read on another Forum that MTH stuff is the most vulnerable to this atmospheric condition.  I would think both systems would be just as touchy during a Solar Flare?

I think I'm gonna lie low...

 

This AM...before heading out to work here at the LHS...I undertook repair of an MTH crossing gate/flasher, one of the 30-11012 pair.  All was going well.  I resolved the operational problems...mostly related to the limit contacts...and was enjoying having the gate cycle several times at the bench.

 

Then my luck ran out......shades of Friday-the-thirteenth!  Two wire touched together that shouldn't have touched together.   POOPIE!   !@#$#@%^!!!  Now all I have are two LED's that flash...no gate motion whatsoever.

 

Carelessness, of course.

 

Or could it be.....??

 

Yep....gonna 'lie low'.

My entire mornings work just got wiped out by a contractor. After lunch, I'll be moving on to something else.... FWIW, this afternoon's work will not get pushed out until Monday morning.

Actually Friday the 13th has always been a good day for me. Mostly just like any other day.

ITS SATURDAY THE 14th that is the killer... its the day when you think the curse has passed. And them WHAM! JASON returns!!!
