I'm building a new layout and noticed there are a few places were I could use one controller to switch two switches in tandem. One example is a passing siding. Another is where switches move a train from one mainline to another mainline.

I'm using O27 K-Line wide radius switches on this new layout.

My first shot at throwing two switches with one controller didn't work. Not matter how I connected the wires from one switch to the other, I either got buzzing or no function.

If it matters, I currently have the switches wired to track power but will move them to auxiliary power soon.

Recommendations?

I am not familiar with the switches you have, but I don't see why it wouldn't work as you want them to?

I have 4 pairs of Atlas switches wired that way. Each pair is operating from their own single controller and they work just fine. It's been a while, but I believe I had to swap some of the directional wires at the switch to get them both to go the proper direction. On some of them one switch needs to be set to straight and the other needs to be set to the curve.

I believe this phenomenon is caused by a sneak path through the controller light. If you remove the bulb in the controller or wire the bulb directly from the transformer you will be able to wire the 2 switched in parallel with each other.

Of coarse if you rip out the O27 track and switched and convert to O then this problem goes away for good.
