Is there such a thing as a new Legacy (or TMCC) remote uncoupling fastrack track, such that I can use my Cab-1 or Legacy Cab-2 remote to uncouple on siding/small yard, without having to run wires? Something similar to the new Legacy command control switches, where you would program each uncoupling track with a push of a button on the remote?
Some facts: On the floor Fastrack track only "layout". Change it a couple times a year when I move some track from basement to around the Christmas tree. Don't want wires running around the basement floor. Have both TMCC/Legacy and DCS. Have both MTH and Lionel engines. While one engine is running around loop, want to do switching with siding(s) with 2nd engine. Using MTH DCS remote to control engines. Using Cab-1 to control switches. Don't have an AIU, as I believe that adds wires laying on the basement floor. So, as of last night, I can run two different engines, throw switches, etc., all remotely. I want to add-in truly remote uncoupling.
Possible? From what I have read this AM, No. Not without adding what feels like a ton of wires, extra components, etc. I don't really have any desire to add wi-fi with 4th handheld device (DCS, Cab-1, Cab-2, plus ipad/ipod/iphone/etc.) Anyone know of plans to expand the Lionel Legacy to make uncoupling track programmable like switches, or is that so cost prohibitive it wouldn't be worthwhile?
