I have been running these MTH DCS Record/Playback sequences, both Part 1 (this video) and its sequel (Part 2, to be on YouTube tomorrow, God willing) for my guests, and they appear to enjoy seeing the engines run automatically. One suggested that maybe others may enjoy seeing the action in a YouTube video, so I made the two videos and posted the first one last night.

You will see six engines trade places throughout the video.

Hope you enjoy it as well -

Thank you for watching!

Spence, Art, Brian -

Thank you!

Brian, yes; I found watching the sessions interesting, and they look better in person. (I'll upload the other session, Part 2, tonight.)  I had wondered whether the video would be boring since the action takes place in a small area of the layout. Etieca Valley, where the diesel facility is located, is but 12-ft x 14-ft.

What I enjoy the most of sitting back and watching the engines run under the Record/Playback sessions. The third session runs a passenger train and a freight train for about 17 minutes, and is more interesting. Too bad the number of sessions is limited to three, and that they are not-editable. But once done, they are fun.

Thanks again!

Alex

Rtr12, Bill T -

Thank you, I appreciate your nice comments.

Part video is done and will on YouTube early tomorrow morning.

Then . . .

I will have another video, hopefully later this coming week, of trains simply running on the HPJRR, from different views throughout the layout, many of which perspectives I had never 'captured' before. .

Alex

Alex, Buzz -

Thank you for watching the video and for your comments.

Alex - done!

And now . . . Part 2: Simply the engines going back to where they started.

I can run either sequence by itself and leave the engines where they end up, but the sequence in Part one, as you have already watched, leaves the Coal Fired Turbine No. 80 out in the main [on a long trip  ], blocking the way for other trains. So I prefer to run the sequences back to back, and leave the engines where Part 2, below, ends.

Thank you for watching!

Lee, C. Chancey, Paul, Zett, RockIsland, TJ -

Thank you!

R.I: Link to Part 1 was the first post, yesterday; Link to Part 2 was earlier today, above - both ate available now.

T.J.

Yes, several - here are two of my favorites. (All are High Def)

Several trains, entire layout, actual train sounds, sound effects, and background music (rather dated - I have made numerous improvements since):

The Big Boy with a 53-car train - [Nice video, even if I say so myself  ]

I am making another video now that will show several of the improvements I have made recently. It will be of several trains seen from new perspectives.

Thank You All!!!!

Alex
