as some of you might already read on facebook, I completed my first engine project. It's a Sunset Union Pacific 4-12-2, road name 9000. I did some custom work on the engine, installed a sound cam on the sixth axle and installed ESU Loksound 4L with an upload of 3-cylinder sounds.
Running board lights and cab light were done and an automatic uncoupling device was installed for the rear coupler - the front coupler will simply be an ordinary Kadee.
I weathered the model by spraying brown on (acrylic paint) and removing most of it with alcohol. Then followed a thin wash with grey acrylics and some smokebox striping with oil paints. I keep learning how to do it but to my surprise, the first try to weather a locomotive turned out quite nice.
Judge by yourself and let me know what I could do better - I appreciate your thoughts.
