I just got an email video from Union Pacific uploading a new video testing on a model of the new Arrowedge 3.0. Thought I would share.

Thank You and your welcome. Thought it would be nice to share and also something new UP is doing. Wonder if BNSF, CSX, and NS will do the same sometime in the future.
LOL! That guys tool box I thought was going to blow right over!
I remember that TRAINS magazine did an article about an earlier version that looked like a 53' doorstop. This one apparently can be attached to the front of a container somehow? How would that work? Will UP actually construct and use these in everyday service?

To JDADDY: Yea, I thought that to.
To PITTSBURGHRAILFAN: Here's a video below, which is not mine, but sharing of this Intermodal filmed in Arizona back in January 2014 when this person uploaded the video Jan 20th, 2014. But yes I do think UP will use these on most or all intermodals in the future. It is a really cool idea and it does work. Only thing different I see from the model and the real AW Container, is in the model they show it with the longer arrowedge container on top and in the real video below is 48ft long put on a 53ft container. Also to what you mentioned about the Arrowedge how it fits on a container, basically the AW is a container as well. I've seen photos on the internet being attached to a Semi Trailer frame. And the corner points on the AW line up with the top of a container. But acctually Arrowedge was introduced in Sept 2013 from reading this article link http://www.railwayage.com/inde...ebut-this-month.html
