Hello everyone! Was curious if anyone had heard any specific updates on the ETA of Lionel's LC+ 2.0 Berkshires? Obviously, the pandemic has thrown many wrenches towards the vendors and their respective staff members, the shipping schedules, hobby stores receiving new product, etc. but just checking with our O Gauge community if anyone had heard anything.
I've seen "6/21/2020" on www.lionelstore.com, "6/28/2020" on TrainWorld, and "6/10/2020" on Charles Ro. So hopefully, June (fingers crossed)?
Personally, I have the Nickel Plate Road Berkshire #765 (Lionel SKU: 1932030) on pre-order with my local hobby shop, and after seeing recent videos of the LC+ 2.0 Big Boys, I became more and more excited for these new models. Looks like there are some new Tier 4 and FT diesel engines from 2019 V1 that should hopefully be coming in soon as well.
Obviously, the health and safety of everyone in our hobby is top priority right now - as it should be. Plus, I'm sure the pandemic has added more question marks to everything right now, which is understandable and beyond anyone's control. Just excited for my new locomotive to arrive, and I know there are many, many others looking forward to receiving their orders too.
