I have just finished assembling the 4x8 foot kit of Mianne bench work and it me measures approx. 5/8' inches wider and longer than 4x8".

Did I do something wrong?

UPDATE!!!!  It turns out that the 4x8 sheet of 1/2 inch MDF that I installed for my tabletop is actually longer and wider than 4x8 and overhangs at least 1/4" on all 4 sides!  All is well and the table is as sturdy as a rock.  Best of all, I had ordered the casters when I ordered the table and it is easy for one person to move around.  It is obvious that I chose well when I chose to order Mianne bench work for my new layout.

4x8 MDF is really not 4x8, it is bigger. Mianne's table is larger than 4x8 for a reason.  It is 4x8 on center so you can add additional modules on any of the sides and then when you put more plywood or MDF on top it can but up against the existing sheet to the center of that rail.  It took me a while to figure that out after all the discussion here.  If my layout moves in the house at some point I am giving Mianne a good look as my bench work option.
