I was looking at the Lionel RTR catalog and noticed that all the new Lionchief sets now come with an larger 54W power supply.  This

should solve any problems from past sets.  I also noticed that a "Plug & Play track is part of each set so if a customer chooses to add

an accessory, there should be enough power for that as well.    It always pays to read the fine print.

P.S.  The catalogs are a lot easier to read off Charles Ro's site.

Power Packs are like Tool Man from Home Improvement:  More Power!

I do have a question:  If you used a power supply used by Ham Radio ops, would that hurt anything.  More power at less cost. But the voltage is usually 12-14 if fixed.  MTH does have one which is variable at 25-20 amps.  Will these hurt the power or anything else.

The issue is if you get everything off the track, you need enough juice.  Plug and play might be easier, but to me not the best.
