I always wanted to try to see if i could put a F3 motor  and running gear in a Alco postwar  engine...

I used the original top plate and side  plastic  and basically put in on top of a F3   took more time to make the rear coupler than  it did to put the motor  and truck on..

Next  will be the TMCC   ... It takes such little power to get this to move  and the lights on the cars are so dim  Tmcc will help make it look brighter in the cars and still make the engine run a   slower speed.. and I must say RuNS GREAT!20201212_173944[1]20201212_174018[1]20201212_174123[1]

What I did was used the F3 motor as a hinge  as shown by the screw driver and added the rear spring and clip . I put the shell on to make sure no problems     ... daniel

Heres my B unit I made some time ago  this time with the help of TMCC I can lash them both up .. and program them both to run  together ...  I used a original Lionel alco B frame and a orginal  Alco Power

A frame and pop riveted in .  I'm thinking of mig weld it for a better look but it works as is .. looks like a good 2021 project  for me to work on...daniel
