The NYC Transit Museum is planning a event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Transit Museum. If from what I have heard is true a event will be held at Brighton Beach Station on the last Saturday and or Sunday this June. They will probably have the several sets of vintage former IRT, BMT, and IND cars that will operate to Kings Highway and back and maybe even a surprise or two as well. Check the museum website for announcements.

Twice last year the set of 6 Triplex Cars were run. First from the Brighton Beach Station to the Kings Highway Station and back in late June and then in August from the Transit Museum to Coney Island via three different subway lines including over the Manhattan Bridge. They looked and ran great. Hope to ride then again this year. Maybe the former BMT Standards set of three cars will also run again this year also and how about the set of three wooden el cars from 1907. I rode these twice last time going to Rockaway.
