Weaver PS-2 34’ covered hopper and Lionel 14251 die-cast trucks ???

Any reason I can not use Lionel 14251 die- cast scale trucks - these are the trucks with the rotating caps - with Weaver PS-2 covered hoppers

I have a couple of Weaver kits that have to be 20 / 25 years old - the kits did not come with trucks

Like the look and feel of the Lionel trucks and thought they would add a little weight to each car

Also do most people add a little weight to these older Weaver kits ?

The Weaver cars I have are PRR 34’ covered hoppers in grey and red oxide - gorgeous paint jobs
