You have made it through another week and now you can kick back and just look at all the great photos on Weekend Photo Fun. I hope each of you can add some of your own as well.

A few weeks ago I was able to get a ticket on the Norfolk Southern Steam Excursion from Roanoke to Lynchburg.

I rode in this old car that was used on the Crescent route. It was a very smooth ride I was really surprised at the different rides each of the various cars had.

Looking out the window

Riding a steam train makes it hard to see the engine.

Yes I would love to own a model of this train

Let's at least get some O in here.

Now it's your turn Let's see your pictures.

Tim, that Marx Mercury is smokin'!  Thanks for posting

Here are two Reading FP7A units in the Steamtown yard

A wooden ramp connects the Steamtown yard with the Steamtown Mall. Near the doors to the Mall is this HO layout with a scratchbuilt model of Tunkhannock Viaduct at Nicholson. Crossing it is the PHOEBE SNOW.

Awhile back I picked up a Lionel Burlington E5 dummy unit with TMCC, smoke, et. al. for a project. We had it repainted as Southern E6 No 2800 and run it ahead of an old Lionel Southern GP7 and now recently the Legacy U30C both in the tuxedo scheme.

Am getting a Lionel E7 B unit from Forum member Dave F at York that will be painted to match.

Here is the E6 'firing up' on the bench a couple of days ago...

Uh oh...  I hear the CFO yelling "Turn that off".

Gotta go!

Hi Rich. Nice video. Very smooth operation. Did you use a transition car on the front of that coal drag?

Don, I was going to go the tankless route, but with our water we would also have to have a water softener and the advised against it. But it would have taken up a lot less room and it would have been easier to install.

You might check your water to make sure about the "softness" of it. Just saying ......

Neal,

I will be at York but don't have my own booth.  May share one with Jim at Bridgeboss.  Either way I will be there on Friday.  Hope to see you there

Matt,

Yes, the first car is a transition car with Kadee on one side and hi-rail on the other.

Paul,

Thank you.  It shipped today, hope you enjoy.  Its a high end HD camera I bought at Best Buy about 3yrs ago. About $1100.  It has digital stabilization which help with pacing shots.  The new cameras have both digital and mechanical stabilization.  It looks like a moving eyeball behind the lense.  Its amazing how stable the images are when free handing moving shots.  Perfect to video model trains.  I don't have one yet.

Rich love the layout and those CN work horses. The Videl was excellent!! I was trying to count how many coal cars you have in that consist but I have to guess it might be 12?

Thanks for sharing with us Rich.
